55 Allen Plaza Wins Southern Regional Environmental TOBY Award
Downtown office building 55 Allen Plaza, managed by Lincoln Property Company Southeast (Lincoln), has earned The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award in the environmental stewardship “Earth” category from the Building Owners and Managers Association. The honor was announced April 8 at the 2017 BOMA Southern Region Conference held in Atlanta.
The prestigious TOBY Awards acknowledge building owners and management companies who demonstrate excellence in the commercial real estate industry. Winners are selected based on their ability in creating operating efficiencies, tenant amenities and environmental achievements that sets them apart from other buildings in their class, both locally, regionally, and internationally.
“55 Allen Plaza is unquestionably one of the best Class A office buildings in Atlanta, and this award reinforces that fact,” said Lincoln’s Shane Froman, vice president of management services. “Our tenants appreciate that we operate 55 Allen Plaza with a commitment to environmental responsibility. This award demonstrates we are living up to that goal.”
The award bestowed last week marked the second consecutive year 55 Allen Plaza has received TOBY recognition. With the regional award, 55 Allen Plaza is in the running for the BOMA International TOBY Awards scheduled for June in Nashville.
55 Allen Plaza is located within walking distance of restaurants, the W-Atlanta Downtown Hotel & Residences, growing retail, and Centennial Olympic Park. The LEED Gold-certified, 341,741-square-foot Class-A office building is part of the Allen Plaza mixed-used development. In 2013, 55 Allen Plaza was designated as a BOMA 360 Performance Building for high standards in building operations and management.
