Lincoln Employees Prepare Breakfast for Downtown Atlanta’s Homeless
About 15 employees of Lincoln’s Atlanta office and their family members gave back to the community on Saturday, June 29, by feeding members of the city’s downtown homeless population.
The Lincoln employees and their family members spent the morning preparing and serving a breakfast of bacon, coffee, eggs, grits and hash browns to about 250 homeless men and women. The non-profit Feeding the Homeless Project organized the breakfast and supervised the Lincoln volunteers. Lincoln sponsored the event and paid for the food and beverages.
The Atlanta office will sponsor another breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 28.
“At Lincoln, we work hard to make our communities better places to live and work,” said Tony Bartlett, senior vice president for Lincoln who oversees the Atlanta office. “This recent breakfast was a moving and rewarding experience, one that served as a powerful reminder of how fortunate we are. We are excited about September’s breakfast and are looking forward to other opportunities to make a difference in the Atlanta community.”
