Lincoln Employees Reach Out to Help Homeless in Downtown Atlanta
About 25 employees of Lincoln Property Company Southeast’s Atlanta office and their family members gave back to the community on Saturday, June 14, by feeding members of the city’s downtown homeless population.
The Lincoln employees and their family members spent the morning preparing and serving a breakfast of sausage, eggs, grits, biscuits and gravy to about 150 homeless men and women. The non-profit Feeding the Homeless Project organized the breakfast and supervised the Lincoln volunteers. Lincoln sponsored the event and paid for the food and beverages.
“Improving the communities we live in is something we take very seriously at Lincoln, and Saturday’s breakfast was a small but powerful way to lend a helping hand to those in need,” said Tony Bartlett, senior vice president for Lincoln who oversees the Atlanta office. “We have sponsored these breakfasts several other times as well, and we’ve always come away deeply impressed with and inspired by the work of the Feeding the Homeless Project.”
