Lincoln Property Company Southeast Brokers Sale of SEPA’s Headquarters in Elberton, Ga.
Lincoln Property Company Southeast (Lincoln) has brokered the $1.25 million sale of 1166 Athens Tech Road, a 21,500-square-foot office building in Elberton, Ga. The building is fully leased to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and serves as the headquarters of the Southeastern Power Administration (SEPA), a division of the U.S. Department of Energy.
Denton Shamburger, a vice president at Lincoln, represented the seller, GE Commercial Finance Business Property Corp., in the transaction. The buyer, Andsmith Commercial LLC, was not represented by a broker in the transaction.
“This is a great opportunity for an investor, and Denton did a great job of securing the right buyer for this property,” said Tony Bartlett, a senior vice president for Lincoln who oversees the firm’s Atlanta office. “GSA is an investment-grade tenant, and the federal government has almost nine years left on its lease. This is a solid property.”
