One Eleven Mural Artist Marla E recognized by Seminole County
Seminole County Board of Commissioners, along with the Seminole Cultural Arts Council, presented Marla E with Seminole County’s 2016 Artist of the Year Award. This award is given out each year to an individual who has contributed their time and talent for the enrichment of the Seminole County Arts Community.
Last November, Marla E was selected by a panel of judges from Lincoln Property Company, Mayor Buddy Dyer, and the board of See Art Orlando. She was chosen to paint two murals, five stories high on Lincoln Property’s Company’s One Eleven Building, located on N. Magnolia Ave and Washington St. Marla’s captivating mural is a reflection of the growing and vibrant energy of the downtown Orlando area. Her mural will be on the building for the next five years, letting all of Central Florida enjoy her captivating artwork. This piece was done in collaboration with See Art Orlando’s mission to decorate downtown. Lincoln Property Company believes all their towers have an obligation in giving back to the community and public art. We congratulate Marla on her recent award and we are excited to see all the artwork she does in the future for the Seminole County Community.
