The Future of Peachtree Corners

Intuitive Surgical is a public robotic surgery company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. They have had a presence in Georgia for about 10 years but announced in August of 2021 that they were investing $500 million into Georgia—specifically, Peachtree Corners. Their expansion will add over 750,000 square feet to their portfolio and bring 1,200 new jobs to Peachtree Corners. The entire expansion is set to be completed in 2024. Based on their location and workforce criteria, Peachtree Corners was a clear choice for the growing medical equipment company: “Intuitive needs a highly educated, committed and diverse workforce; quality infrastructure; and the right geography to meet the rising demand for minimally invasive surgical technologies,” said CEO Gary Guthart.
